Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – After being absent from the assignment after being tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) in March, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi returned to his activities.
He reportedly had followed a limited meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which was held in private. The meeting was held via video conference and there were a number of Ministers of the Indonesian Cabinet Forward, Monday (4/27).
“He is healthy and is now in an internal meeting with the cabinet. We are still in a meeting, “said Social Minister Juliari Batubara quoted from CNNIndonesia.com.
From the agenda received, there were two meetings that were held closed today. This meeting was the first time that was followed by Budi after recovering from Covid-19. Budi was allowed to go home on April 15 after being treated at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital.
Budi also attended internal meetings within the Ministry of Transportation. However, he has not officially resumed his duties as Minister of Transportation.
Since he was tested positive for Covid-19, Budi’s job as minister was replaced by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan. (ras/bbs)
