Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, H. Cik Ujang received an audience with the Regional Executive Chair of the National Student League for Democracy (EW-LMND) of South Sumatra, Yoga Aldo Novensi in the context of a gathering in the Deputy Governor of South Sumatra’s Guest Room (Thursday, 6/19/2025).
Through the gathering, Yoga Aldo conveyed the concerns currently experienced by students related to the rampant incidents of sexual harassment and extortion on campus, but there are still many students who do not want to speak up. Therefore, LMND South Sumatra has a desire to establish a Student Complaint Post in South Sumatra, especially in the city of Palembang.
“I see that the Deputy Governor is very welcoming of fellow students, to listen to our aspirations. Therefore, today we have an audience in order to convey the Main Student Complaint Post Program,” he said.
“The purpose of this student complaint post is to provide facilities to fellow students so that they are willing and brave to speak up regarding things that are detrimental to students such as Sexual Harassment and Extortion that often occur on campus,” he added firmly.
Furthermore, he hopes that the South Sumatra Provincial Government can be present to provide support and assistance in realizing this desire.
Responding to this, Cik Ujang said that the program presented was a good step in realizing a clean campus that is free from extortion and sexual harassment. (rys/ril)
