Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H Herman Deru when receiving in audience the Presidium of the Kikim Area Expansion.
“In the effort to expand, there will be requirements that must be met. As the governor, I think the expansion has greatly accelerated the acceleration of development because it is vulnerable to easy and close control, “HD said.
In addition, HD considers that the Kikim Area is one of the areas that is very well known and is in the spotlight because of the many best resources; person who comes from this area.
“What I see is that Kikim Area wants to expand because of the desire to serve the community, therefore I certainly support this. Support is provided in the form of a letter which has been followed up at the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding requests to accelerate this, “he said.
In addition, HD revealed that this was also supported by the Regent of Lahat because it was solely to accelerate development in the region. According to him, the formation of the Regency is not because of the size of the area but because of the proportion.
“I certainly support this because the existing requirements have also been entered. Hopefully, this will become a trend center for the regent’s generosity for others. I will support this in the required administrative process, “he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Presidium for the Expansion of Kikim Area, Drs H Chozhalin said that the candidate for the expansion of the Kikim Area Regency has an area of 1,494 square meters, or 29.18 percent of the current area of the Lahat Regency. In addition, currently, Kikim Area also has 5 sub-districts, with a population of around 102,160 people.
Kikim Area also has various Natural Resources (SDA) consisting of coal, oil, and natural gas. For the application for the expansion of the Kikim Area Regency itself, it has also met the requirements that apply in the law.
