COVID-19, Medan City Government Immediately Pays Arrears Incentive for Health Workers

Medan, The Indonesia Post – The Municipal Government (Pemkot) of Medan, North Sumatra, will immediately pay the arrears of COVID-19 incentives for health workers (health workers) starting from May to September 2020.

“This is in the payment process, and hopefully today we can do all payments from May to September,” said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution when receiving the final examination report (LHAP) at the Ombudsman RI Representative Office of North Sumatra, Monday.

He said the distribution of incentive arrears for the month of May was only for health workers at the Pirngadi Medan Hospital, both State Worker ASN, and non-ASN.

Then, in June and July for health workers at the Pirngadi Hospital, health centers, and health workers at the Medan Health Office.

Furthermore, for August and September, incentives will be paid only to health workers at the Pirngadi Regional Hospital and puskesmas.

“I ask for August and September for the Medan Health Office environment not to receive incentives first. It’s not cruel, but we must prioritize health workers who act in the field to take care of COVID-19 patients, “he said.

Bobby said that the cause of the delay in the distribution of COVID-19 incentives for health workers in Medan was due to administrative difficulties.

“There is indeed a bit of misadministration in our health department, how the data collection is still not synchronized,” he said.

On that occasion, he apologized to all health workers in Medan City for the late payment of COVID-19 incentives.

“I, as the Mayor of Medan, representing the Medan City Government and the Medan City Health Service, apologize for the delay in incentives for health workers from May to September that has not been paid,” he said. (ojn/bbs)
