President Jokowi departs for the zero kilometer point of the National Capital

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – President Joko Widodo and Iriana Joko Widodo left for East Kalimantan, Sunday, to then visit the zero kilometer point of the State Capital (IKN) and plan to spend the night at that location on Monday (14/3).

As stated by the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, the President and a limited entourage took off from the TNI AU Adi Sutjipto Base, Sleman Regency, DI Yogyakarta, using the Presidential Aircraft Indonesia-1 at around 13.00 WIB, Sunday.

Upon arrival at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan City, the President plans to go directly to the hotel where he is staying overnight and then continue his work agenda the next day.

Tomorrow, Monday (14/3), the President is scheduled to go to the National Capital City (IKN) Zero Point Area, which is located in Penajam Paser Utara Regency. The Head of State will carry out a series of work agendas and spend the night at the location.

Also accompanying the President on the flight to East Kalimantan Province were SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Presidential Military Secretary Marsda TNI M. Tonny Harjono, Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo , and Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media of the Presidential Secretariat Bey Machmudin.

Regarding the President’s visit to East Kalimantan, East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor previously explained that President Jokowi and five governors on the island of Kalimantan would spend the night at the location of the zero point of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago (NUSANTARA), precisely in North Penajam Paser.

Isran said that the facilities and infrastructure had been prepared, including the electricity network, telecommunications and others, including tents and equipment that the president would use to stay overnight.

“Alhamdulillah, the preparations have been carried out, and on the D day it will be 100 percent and the camp can be used by the president and his entourage. This is thanks to the cooperation of the State Secretariat and related parties such as Pangdam VI Mulawarman and the Kapolda Kaltim, especially the preparation of the camp to be occupied President Joko Widodo,” said Isran Noor, Friday (12/3).

Isran explained that the event was also invited by governors throughout Indonesia and every governor who attended was required to wear the traditional clothes of each province.

“Because this is the capital city of the archipelago, guests (governors) will wear traditional archipelago clothes from each province, but the plan is that the governors who will stay camping with the president are only five governors in Kalimantan, namely East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Kalimantan.
