Surabaya, The Indonesia Post – The East Java Provincial Government is committed to consistently proving and realizing national food security and self-sufficiency so that it becomes a barometer for food commodities from the agricultural sector.
“Alhamdulillah, East Java continues to consistently prove its commitment to national food self-sufficiency. The beef cattle population, with 4.9 million head, is very far from the province in second place with 1.8 million head,” East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa said in Surabaya, Saturday.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency for 2021, East Java is ranked first in contributing to the national population of beef cattle, dairy cattle and laying hens.
