Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru said that all eyes of South Sumatra will be on Ogan Ilir Regency where he is very proud and happy for holding a youth jamboree because it introduces local traditions and wisdom that we must protect and Marwah and heritage (legacy) are always maintained and this enlivened by youth.
This was stated at the time of the official opening of the Regional Youth Jamboree (JPD) Prov. South Sumatra in 2023.
“I appreciate this event as a bastion of cultural currents from outside. Even with batik cloth it is claimed that our products should not be claimed. Therefore, we must protect our ancestral heritage,” said Governor Herman Deru (HD).
HD said, through the youth jamboree we must appreciate everything that was done by our ancestors (ancestors), there would be no present if there was no past. South Sumatra is famous for the courage of its youth with its ancestors, namely sportsmanship.
“To the youth, today we are no longer constrained by primordialism but we must be ready to compete and be the best and excel in every event to achieve achievements” said HD.
The Regent of Ogan Ilir Panca Wijaya Akbar, S.H said with the theme Building Harmony Towards Progressive Youth of South Sumatra for All. This event was attended by Youth and I hope that what was seen by those present will be conveyed to all regarding the potential for both culinary and various tourism.
Kadispora of South Sumatra H. Rudi Irawan, S.sos, M.Sc said this activity would be carried out from 16 to 19 with a total of 420 participants like Devile with various activities from regencies and cities throughout South Sumatra and coaching prizes and 123 trophies and 123 hopes. (mhn/ril)
