Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The 2023 Pengalang and Enforcement Gathering Camp for Scout Madrasas throughout South Sumatra (Sumsel) which was placed at the Bangko Barat Green Land Park Camping Ground, Tanjung Enim, Muara Enim Regency, was officially opened by the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru on Friday (4/4). 8 am.
Governor Herman Deru who is also the Chairman of the South Sumatra Scout Movement Regional Advisory Council (Kamabida) at the opening of the South Sumatra (South Sumatra) Madrasa Gathering Gathering Camp this time was asked to be the ceremony supervisor.
In his address, Herman Deru hopes that the 2023 Student and Enforcement Camp for Madrasah Gatherings in South Sumatra will become an arena for creativity that is creative, productive, educative, innovative and recreational in the form of camps.
In accordance with the motto Ikhlas Bakti Bina Bangsa, Virtue Brings Laksana, Herman Deru urged participants to maintain their health and follow the instructions of trainers and seniors. So that when he returns, Nanto can appear as a firm, independent, caring and responsible person.
Herman Deru admitted, a low level of education, a weak community economy, and a lack of knowledge mean that nutrition is not in accordance with needs, and will have an impact on stunting in children.
Herman Deru also hopes that this activity will produce products in the form of skills from the participants, and not just camping and traveling.
Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of South Sumatra Province Dr. Syafitri Irwan, S.Ag., M.Pd.I said in his report that this camp took place from 3 to 6 August 2023.
“Involving participants from 16 regencies/cities in South Sumatra at the intermediary level (SMP/MTS) and enforcement level (MA/SMA) throughout South Sumatra, with a total of 1,326 participants,” he explained.
He said the camp this time carried the theme “Through the Scout Movement We Increase Professional and Proportional Human Resources Towards Food Self-Sufficient and Stunting-free South Sumatra”. (mhn/ril)
