Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra and Chairman of the Regional Advisory Council (Kamabida) of the Kwarda Scout Movement of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru attended the Big Apple Commemoration of the 62nd Scout Day Regional Kwartir Level of the South Sumatran Scout Movement.
In his remarks the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru said this theme showed the spirit of the Scout Movement to improve human resources to be more professional.
“Besides that, national insight is also very important so that our national values do not fade. For the South Sumatra Provincial Government, human resource development is interpreted as an investment in building the nation’s civilization,” said HD.
Because according to HD, character is the result of interaction between the individual and the environment, then in its formation scouting activities should be the main pillar.
“Today we commemorate the 62nd Scout Day in 2023, for that I invite scout members wherever they are to always try to devote themselves to the interests of the nation and state,” concluded HD.
Also present were the Secretary General of the National Quarterly Major General TNI (Purn) Dr. Bachtiar, Head of Regional Kwartir Riza Fahlevi, Head of South Sumatra KORMI Hj Samantha Tivani HD, Heads of OPD Prov South Sumatra. (mhn/ril)
