DKI Jakarta Governor: Don’t Make Students Bored

Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – The education experienced had a big shock due to the corona pandemic. Students can now only study at home without doing face-to-face meetings with the teacher.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reminded that teachers can change their learning techniques so that students do not get bored studying at home. According to him, the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas) should be momentum for change.

“Therefore I invite everyone, to see this momentum as an opportunity to transform,” Anies said at the commemoration of the National Education Day Ceremony, Monday (4/5) quoted from local sites.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has carried out the distance learning process since mid-March. This is in accordance with the Circular Letter of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency number 2 / SE / 2020 concerning Adjustment of Employee Work Systems in the Prevention of COVID-19 Spread.

Anies realizes that there are still many teachers who experience difficulties in teaching methods. Moreover, many educators are still not familiar with the technology.

He realized that was not an easy thing to do. This distance learning process, according to him, is a challenge for all educators around the world who are also facing a coronavirus outbreak.

“Not everyone can understand. Some consider this (coronavirus) as something light, because of that I have conveyed how important education is,” Anies said. (rama/bbs)
