Acting Governor Fatoni Asks to Give the Public Education About Healthy Lifestyles

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (PJ) Governor of South Sumatra, Agus Fatoni attended the 59th National Health Day (HKN) Commemoration in 2023 with the theme “Health Transformation for Advanced Indonesia” in the Parking Yard of RSUD Siti Fatimah Prov. South Sumatra, Wednesday (22/11 /2023).

On that occasion, Fatoni said that in realizing health transformation for advanced Indonesia, health awareness is needed by the entire community. For this reason, he asked all health workers and related stakeholders to continue to provide education and outreach regarding how to maintain health and live a healthy lifestyle to all levels of society in South Sumatra.

“Our healthy lifestyle must start from ourselves. Let’s invite our families to live a healthy life by getting used to consuming nutritious food and drinks, and always thinking positively in our activities,” he said.

Apart from that, he also appealed to all the guests present to care about the surrounding environment, and care about stunting and extreme poverty so that people in South Sumatra can live healthily.

He also emphasized to all health workers working in South Sumatra to always develop themselves by continuing to learn and attend seminars and scientific meetings and follow developments in the world of health which are useful for providing the best service to the community.

Through this opportunity, Fatoni launched the development of the incentive room at Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital.

Director of Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital, dr. Syamsuddin Isaac Suryamanggala, Sp.OG said that the 59th HKN was the right momentum to achieve a healthy Indonesian society.

He also said that in commemorating the 59th HKN, Siti Fatimah Regional Hospital carried out several series of health service activities including installation of contraceptives, bindu postal services, swab and antigen examination services, blood donation services, and there was a public education exhibition stand about health.
