Acting Governor Fatoni Attends the Launch of Family Planning Services Simultaneously with One Million Acceptors in South Sumatra

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (Acting) Governor of South Sumatra A Fatoni attended the launch of the South Sumatra One Million Acceptor (PSA) Simultaneous Family Planning (KB) service and the online “Halo PSA South Sumatra” teleconference which was organized by the South Sumatra BKBBN and attended by 17 districts/cities throughout South Sumatra. Located at Griya Agung, Tuesday (4/6/2024). Also present online is Pj. Chairman of the Family welfare (TP-PKK) for South Sumatra Province, Tyas Fatoni.

In his speech, Fatoni expressed his gratitude to the South Sumatra BKBBN for its efforts and solidity in improving the quality of family planning services for the people of South Sumatra and truly providing services periodically and continuously.

“Congratulations and thank you, simultaneous family planning service activities in 2024 will run smoothly, on Kartini Day 126% of the target was achieved, the company’s family planning services were 168, and today the family planning service target of 49,978 participants can be achieved,” he hoped.

He continued that family planning in pregnancy planning is a form of parental responsibility to be able to prepare their children for a healthier next generation.

“Families need to support each other and encourage each other to support children’s growth and development, especially for newborn babies, and mothers can provide exclusive breast milk for six months to two years,” he hoped.

Meanwhile, at the same event, the Head of the BKBBN for the South Sumatra region, Medi Herianto SH, MH, said that the implementation of family planning services for a million acceptors was carried out by all health facilities that have health services in South Sumatra, including Community Health Centers, Pustu, Independent Practice Clinics, Hospitals, Midwives and other services.

“We have a thousand family planning instructors spread across 17 regencies/cities, we are all moving to provide services for a million acceptors in South Sumatra,” he said

He reported that this year’s 31st National Family Day at provincial level will be held in the city of Lubuk Linggau and the family planning service for a million South Sumatra acceptors was given a target of 49,978 participants with the target of repeat and new family planning services.

“Our target is posts that are not yet family planning participants but who really want to be family planning participants, and we carry out this service in all health facilities,” he said.
