Governor Fatoni hopes companies operating in South Sumatra will actively help in dealing with forest and land fires

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (Pj) Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel) Agus Fatoni held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for the Acceleration of Control of Forest and Land Fires in South Sumatra Province with dozens of companies operating in South Sumatra. The coordination meeting initiated by Acting Governor Fatoni was held at Graha Sumsel Jakarta, on Sunday (8/10) evening.

Through this coordination meeting, Fatoni hopes that all companies operating in South Sumatra can actively help in efforts to accelerate the handling of forest and land fires in the South Sumatra region.

Also present at the coordination meeting were the Sriwijaya Military Commander II, Major General Yanuar Adil, the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police A. Rachmat Wibowo as well as the Director of Land Damage Control, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Edi Nugroho, Head of the South Sumatra Plantation Service Agus Darwa, Head of the South Sumatra Forestry Service, Head of the Disaster Management Agency. (BPBD) South Sumatra Province, M. Iqbal Alisyahbana, as well as representatives of various companies operating in South Sumatra. Among them, PT Sinarmas, PTBA, PT. Lonsum, PT Hindoli, PT Sampoerna Agro, PT. Tania Selatan, PT Laju Perdana Indah and many others. (mhn/ril)
