Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel), H. Herman Deru (HD) Launched Universal Health Coverage (UHC) for South Sumatra Province Thanks to “Treatment Using National Identity (KTP)” at Griya Agung.
On this occasion, HD said that National Health Insurance (JKN) is a program that must be immediately realized because health insurance must be felt by the community equally.
“Through the launch of UHC Sumsel Berkat, this is our concrete step in providing equitable health services to the community, this is also a form of support from the South Sumatra Provincial Government in supporting the JKN program,” said HD.
HD added that the South Sumatra Provincial Government is trying hard to achieve UHC in South Sumatra, which has now been achieved with a percentage of 95.5% of South Sumatra people who have been covered by the JKN program through BPJS Health.
“This is a step in generalizing health services in society without discrimination, differentiation in the health service process,” said HD.
Apart from that, HD also said that public health should not be politicized, because good health services are a right of every community that they must have.
“Health services must not be neglected, because our community really needs to receive health services. Together we provide service to the community and we must also provide service to the health workers. Let us work together with all sincerity to do the best for the community,” said HD .
Meanwhile, the Director of BPJS Health, Prof. DR. Ali Ghufron Mukti, M. Sc, PH. Other provinces to immediately achieve UHC. (mhn/ril)
