South Sumatra Acting Governor Fatoni Appreciates FLN 2023

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Acting (PJ) Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni attended the 2023 Archipelago Literacy Festival (FLN) at the Palembang Haji Dormitory Field, (27/10/2023).

Also present was the Deputy for Library Control and Information Services at the National Library of Indonesia, Dra. Mariana Ginting, Assistant Deputy for Literacy, Creativity and Innovation, Kemko PMK, Dra Mouli Prabawati.

In his speech, Fatoni said that knowledge can be possessed if there is a process, especially if Indonesia has a superior generation.

“This superior generation who is intelligent, smart, creative and innovative will be able to differentiate themselves from previous generations. “Hopefully the objectives of the Nusantara Literacy Festival activities and the launching of the heritage service program can be realized,” stressed Fatoni

Fatoni also gave appreciation in the form of the Bakti Abdi Pustaka Sumsel 2023 award to recipients in the categories, Mass Media, Community Stores, Public Officials, Library Observers for legislative elements, Library Observers for Vertical Agency elements, BUMN/BUMD and Literacy Activists of South Sumatra Province, the South Sumatra fairy tale village community , Concerned Young Volunteer Community for the Archipelago.

Meanwhile, South Sumatra Literacy Ambassador Ratu Tenny Leriva HD, S. Ked said this was the 3rd Literacy Festival which was held in collaboration with the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service.

“I received the baton of the Literacy Ambassador from the late Hj. Percha Leanpuri, where the Literacy Festival is an event to celebrate the achievements of the literacy movement carried out not only by the South Sumatra Province Literacy Ambassador but all South Sumatra literacy activists,” explained Leriva.

Literacy achievements in South Sumatra are in accordance with the data explained by Fitriana, S.Sos,. M.Si, Head of the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service, said that it was increasing and there were several innovations being implemented by the Library Service and the South Sumatra Literacy Ambassador. South Sumatra Community Literacy Development involves all elements, including the government, community and Regency and City Literacy Ambassadors as well as literacy activist communities. (mhn/ril)
