Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Province DPRD, Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., attended the Ministry of Environment and Forestry’s (KLHK) Simultaneous Tree Planting Activities in all Provinces throughout Indonesia in Commemoration of the 41st Forester Service Day at the Punti Kayu Palembang Nature Tourism Park. Thursday (7/3/2024).
Also present was the Inspector General of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ir. Laksmi Wijayanti, M.CP., and Plh. South Sumatra Regional Secretary, Drs. H. Edward Candra, MH.
In her speech, Chair of the South Sumatra Province DPRD, Hj. Anita Noeringhati, conveyed the importance of preserving the environment, especially through planting trees.
“This activity is a joint effort to maintain the sustainability of our environment,” she said.
This simultaneous tree planting involves participation from various parties, including the local community. In this way, it is hoped that collective awareness will be created to preserve nature for the sake of shared prosperity.
This activity also provides momentum for the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and local governments to increase environmental conservation efforts in South Sumatra. (rys/ril)
