Governor Herman Deru Attends Prabumulih’s 24th Anniversary Celebration at City Council Plenary Session

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru attended the first plenary session of the Prabumulih City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) for the first legislative term, held to commemorate the 24th Anniversary of Prabumulih City. The session took place at the Prabumulih City DPRD Building on Friday (October 17, 2025), and was opened by DPRD Chairperson Denni Victoria.

In his remarks, Governor Deru congratulated the people of Prabumulih on the city’s 24th anniversary, commending its consistent progress across various development sectors.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Prabumulih on its 24th anniversary. May the city continue to prioritize the welfare and prosperity of its residents,” Deru said.

The Governor also praised the leadership of Mayor H. Arlan and Deputy Mayor Franky, noting that within less than eight months of their administration, the city had already achieved significant progress.

“I see a strong spirit of collaboration among the city government, the community, and the private sector. That is the key to regional success. The true measure of a city’s progress lies in inter-district collaboration and synergy with the provincial government — and Prabumulih has clearly met that standard,” he added.

Governor Deru further encouraged all elements of Prabumulih society to maintain the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) in both social life and regional development efforts.

Meanwhile, Mayor H. Arlan expressed his gratitude for the Governor’s presence and for the continuous support provided by the South Sumatra Provincial Government. (mhn/ril)
