Palembang City Council has requested that deactivated BPJS participants to reactivate

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Palembang City Council Requests Social Security Administrator (BPJS) to Reactivate Deactivated Members. The Palembang City Council (DPRD) held a meeting with Social Security Administrator Health (BPJS Kesehatan), the Health Office, and the Social Services Office in the meeting room of Commission IV. During the meeting, Deputy Chairperson of Commission IV, Mgs. H. Syaiful Fadli, requested that BPJS Kesehatan reactivate deactivated members.

According to Commission IV, which was also attended by Commission IV Secretary Yustin Kurniawan Zendrato, members Andri Adam, and M. Solahudin, the Council stated that many complaints have been submitted to the Council from the public regarding the deactivation of BPJS members. Therefore, the Council emphasized that BPJS Kesehatan, the Health Office, and the Social Services Office present at the meeting must immediately assist the community in reactivating their BPJS membership.

As of Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the main focus of interaction between the Palembang City Council, BPJS Kesehatan, and the Social Services Office (Dinsos) has been regarding the management of health insurance participant data.

BPJS PBI Data Update: The Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), through Commission IV, is monitoring the follow-up to the deactivation of approximately 1,000 BPJS Kesehatan (Premium Assistance Recipients) members in the Palembang Premium Assistance Recipient (PBI) group.
