Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Street Soccer Festival for the 2025 Lubuklinggau Mayor’s Cup concluded in a festive atmosphere as South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru officially closed the event at Megang Sports Park, Lubuklinggau City, on Friday (August 17, 2025).
In his remarks, Governor Deru praised the festival as one of the most spectacular youth sporting events in the province.
“Today, my dear children, you will see your friends receive the championship trophy. For those who did not win, don’t see it as a setback—because in truth, you are all winners. Let this motivate you to train harder,” he said.
During the event, Governor Deru personally handed over the championship trophy to SMA Negeri 5 Lubuklinggau, which emerged as the first-place winner of the 2025 Lubuklinggau Mayor’s Cup Street Soccer Festival.
The ceremony was also attended by Lubuklinggau Mayor Rachmat Hidayat, several regents and mayors from across South Sumatra, and the South Sumatra Provincial Youth and Sports Agency Head, Dr. H. Rudi Irawan, S.Sos., M.Si. (mhn/ril)
