Palembang, The Indonesia Post – After performing Friday prayers, South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru (HD), accompanied by Lubuklinggau Mayor H. Rachmat Hidayat, Member of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Fauzi H. Amro, and Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regent Muchendi Mahzareki, conducted an inspection of the revitalization project for the inpatient building at Siti Aisyah Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Lubuklinggau Timur I District, on Friday (October 17, 2025).
Governor Deru carried out a thorough inspection of each section of the hospital’s newly revitalized inpatient facility.
During the visit, he emphasized the importance of understanding the four pillars of health care — promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative — as the foundation for improving public health services.
“Health is a basic service that must be accessible to all citizens without exception. Ensure that every resident, regardless of social status, receives proper and high-quality medical care,” Deru stated.
Meanwhile, Lubuklinggau Mayor H. Rachmat Hidayat explained that the revitalization of the inpatient building was funded through a special allocation grant from the South Sumatra Provincial Government amounting to IDR 12 billion. He added that the upgraded facility would meet BPJS (National Health Insurance) standards and be supported by 22 specialist doctors and 4 general practitioners.
“RSUD Siti Aisyah aims to develop into a regional referral hospital for Lubuklinggau and surrounding areas, in line with its vision of becoming a leading, high-quality medical institution,” the Mayor concluded.
Also present were members of the Lubuklinggau City Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of provincial and municipal agencies, and the hospital’s director, Dr. Charlie Esa Kenedy, MARS, along with the hospital’s staff. (mhn/ril)
