Palembang, The Indonesia Post – A friendly evening marked the farewell and welcoming ceremony for the Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati) at Griya Agung Palembang on Monday evening, October 27, 2025. Dr. Yulianto, SH., MH. officially handed over the leadership baton to Dr. Ketut Sumedana, SH., MH.
Dr. Yulianto has been promoted to the new role of Secretary of the Education and Training Agency (Badiklat) at the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office. His replacement, the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office, is now filled by Dr. Ketut Sumedana, who previously served as Head of the Bali High Prosecutor’s Office.
The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, in his remarks expressed his “divided” feelings regarding the change in leadership of the Adhyaksa Corps in his region.
“On the one hand, we’ve lost (Mr. Yulianto), but on the other, we’ve gained an extraordinary new High Prosecutor. I’ve known him for a long time and have been familiar with his track record through social media,” said Governor Herman Deru.
The Governor specifically expressed his appreciation for Dr. Yulianto’s achievements during his tenure, particularly in efforts to rescue regional assets. Herman Deru noted that one significant achievement was the success of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office, under Yulianto’s leadership, in returning several assets belonging to the South Sumatra Provincial Government, whose cases had been protracted. These assets have now been resolved and returned to the South Sumatra Provincial Government. (mhn/ril)
