South Sumatra Deputy Governor H. Cik Ujang: Superior Civil Servants Achieve Professional and Adaptive Public Services

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H. Cik Ujang emphasized the importance of developing a superior, professional, and adaptive civil servant (ASN) workforce. He made this statement at the closing ceremony of the 21st National Leadership Training (PKN) Level II, Batch 21, 2025, at the Regional Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMD) of South Sumatra Province.

In his remarks, the Deputy Governor expressed his appreciation to the Indonesian National Institute of Public Administration (LAN) for providing full support for the implementation of this training, as well as to the South Sumatra BPSDMD, which was deemed successful in organizing the activity well.

“This training is a concrete step towards creating superior government officials. Civil servants must be able to provide professional, targeted services that meet the needs of the community,” said Cik Ujang.

According to him, the professionalism of civil servants is key to building public trust in the government. By improving managerial competency and strategic leadership, it is hoped that participants will be able to ensure accountability in their positions and improve the performance of work units in their respective agencies.

The Deputy Governor also congratulated all participants on completing the training. He hoped the knowledge and experience gained would be valuable in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as leaders of change in their respective workplaces.

“I’m confident the training you receive will enrich your insights and abilities. Be leaders who are capable of innovating and inspiring,” he concluded.

With great enthusiasm, the Deputy Governor officially closed the activity and released the alumni to work for the progress of the nation and state.

Also in attendance were the Head of Regional Office VII of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) in Palembang, Heni Sri Wahyuni, S.Kom., MTI, and the Heads of the Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) in regencies/cities throughout South Sumatra. (mhn/ril)
