The Governor of South Sumatra expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Sumbagtim Customs and Excise Office in destroying state assets in 2025

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru attended the Press Conference and the Destruction of Goods Belonging to the State (BMMN) in the Customs and Excise sector for the 2025 Fiscal Year organized by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of Eastern Sumatra, Wednesday (29/10/2025).

In his remarks, Governor Herman Deru expressed his high appreciation to the East Sumatra Customs and Excise Department for their outstanding performance throughout the year. He considered the law enforcement measures taken to be concrete evidence of a shared commitment to suppressing the circulation of illegal goods that harm the state.

“Today, we witness an extraordinary achievement from the Sumbagtim Customs and Excise Department. This is a concrete demonstration of hard work and synergy, and the South Sumatra Provincial Government deserves appreciation. This effort not only enforces regulations but also protects the public from the impact of prohibited goods that do not comply with excise regulations,” said the Governor.

Meanwhile, Agus Yulianto, Head of the East Sumatra Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), stated in his report that throughout 2025, his office achieved impressive results in various aspects, from state revenues and industrial services and facilities to supervision and law enforcement.
