Herman Deru conducted a Videoconference related to the Development of Covid-19 in South Sumatra and the commencement of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Palembang City and Prabumulih City which were considered to have a positive impact.
The governor said he was happy because the rate of Covid-19 was declining, it happened because residents were well aware of the importance of PSBB and the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19 in South Sumatra.
“I just returned from 5 regencies in the city in southern Sumatra and observed the PSBB implementation on the first day of Palembang City and PSBB Readiness in Prabumulih City.
I pay attention to Palembang and Prabumulih residents, even residents in 15 other Regencies / Cities in South Sumatra are well aware of the importance of preventing the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19, “Herman Deru said in a live broadcast with the Director-General of the Ministry of Health, heads of regions, and the press.
Former Regent of East OKU for two periods also admitted that he was happy because of the discipline of the citizens so that the number of positive PDP trends had decreased. “Yesterday it was high. Me, we are grateful that the positive number of Covid-19 continues to decline every day. We hope that we continue to maintain this discipline and maintain it together, “Deru said and smiled.
In addition, related to the celebration of Idul Fitri 1441 Hijriyah, Governor Herman Deru said there had been an agreement between the Government and religious organizations, especially Islam, such as the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of South Sumatra, Nadlatul Ulama (NU) of South Sumatra, and Muhammadiyah. “We have agreed that Idulfitri prayers will be held in our homes so that we can overcome the spread of Coronavirus Covid-19,” Deru said.
To that end, continued the Governor who was awarded as the fastest governor to overcome the fifth national or first Covid-19 Coronavirus outside of Java, all citizens and elements of society to continue to run the Covid-19 health protocol.
Even though the COVID trend has declined, Deru when asked by the Indonesia post reporters after Vidcon in Griya Agung gave a message to the public.
