Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Indonesian Ulema Council said the acts of violence and attacks carried out by the Zionist Jewish authorities against Muslim worshipers and Muslimat worshiping at the Al Aqsa Mosque were truly shameful.
The critique of Israel was conveyed by the Chair of the MUI for Foreign Relations and International Cooperation, Prof. Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim.
“This action further convinces all of us that this country is indeed being led by criminals against humanity and is uncivilized. Only criminals carry out such actions because they do not have common sense and conscience,” said Sudarnoto in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
As was done at the end of Ramadan last year, he continued, the Israeli Zionist apparatus had insulted and insulted the place of worship of the Al Aqsa Mosque which should be protected.
“The Israeli Zionist apparatus is destroying the religious atmosphere, carrying out acts of violence against Muslims who are carrying out worship and at the same time destroying, trampling and destroying humanity,” said Sudarnoto.
He said all these crimes were unacceptable to common sense and conscience, contrary to the teachings of any religion, and violated the law, including international law.
“Indonesian Muslims in particular condemn the brutal actions of the Israeli apparatus,” he said.
All of Israel’s actions, Sudarnoto reminded, should be more aware of any countries – especially those with diplomatic relations with Israel – to review their cooperation and diplomatic relations with Israel.
The Zionist state’s actions, he said, also raised awareness that Israel is indeed a country that cannot be trusted.
“As MUI has said, serious steps are needed by any element of society to boycott Israel and bring Israel to an international court and impose international sanctions on Israel,” said Sudarnoto.
He also urged the United States, which has been providing support to Israel, to change its perspective so that it can act more fairly and truly defend humanity.
“President Joe Bidden’s promise when he was inaugurated as President to “stop evil” should really be kept, not just lip service, to please Muslims for a while. Israel is really doing evil and because of that America must show its will and ability to stop Israel’s brutality,” said Sudarnoto. (mhn/bbs)
