JAKARTA, The Indonesia Post – The World Health Organization (WHO) is very serious asking all world leaders to urge its citizens to wear masks when they are out of the house. The recommendation is not only for sick people but all citizens of the world.
“WHO initially asked that only those who were sick use masks, but there were new recommendations so that all residents who came out of the house were obliged to wear masks,” President Joko Widodo said on Monday (6/4/2020).
Regarding WHO’s appeal, the President continued, as the head of state asked the public to comply with WHO’s appeal. “I instructed the staff to ensure the availability of masks can be used by the community. I ask for the availability of masks to be really prepared for the community, because we want every citizen to leave the house obliged to wear a mask, “he said.
Government spokesman for handling Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto added, the appeal of all citizens to wear masks when leaving the house is a WHO recommendation for the whole world. The appeal was as an effort to break the chain of the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19).
“For cloth masks, you can wash them so you can use them many times. For medical masks, such as surgical masks and N-95 are for doctors and paramedics. Let’s follow the government’s appeal so that we can quickly overcome Corona virus, “said Yurianto.
