HD Inaugurates 62 Infrastructure Development Activities of Ogan Ilir Regency

Indralaya, The Indonesia Post – As a district resulting from the division of Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency in 2004, until now there has been a lot of development progress. Both physical and non-physical infrastructure development. This is due to the good synergy between local governments and stakeholders, as well as local governments and provincial governments.

This was conveyed by the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru when inaugurating 62 physical and non-physical infrastructure activities in the 2021 Fiscal Year with a total budget of Rp. 253. 354.220.600, -. The budget comes from the South Sumatra Provincial Budget and the South Sumatra Governor’s assistance is special.

“Infrastructure development is very necessary because the results are directly felt by the community. The budget used is the result of taxes paid by the community which is used again for development that is felt directly by the community,” HD explained.

HD added that he provided equitable and fair assistance to 17 regencies/cities in South Sumatra but proportionally according to the needs of each region.

“That’s why a leader must often go to the field to find out what the community needs so that every development will be maximally useful, so that it will have an impact on increasing people’s welfare and reducing poverty,” HD said.

The Regent of Ogan Ilir Panca Wijaya Akbar conveyed the gratitude of the people of Ogan Ilir to the Governor of HD. According to him, this shows that the tagline of the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, “South Sumatra Forward For All” is indeed real.

The Head of PUBM-TR South Sumatra Province reported that development activities in Ogan Ilir included the construction of roads, bridges, flood control, structuring slum areas and the construction of SMK and SMA. (mhn/ril)
