Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – Covid-19 hurricane which struck Indonesia made Jokowi continue striving to stop the spread of the covid -19 virus in terms of reducing transmission among government officials giving social protection assistance to the community, especially the poor and informal workers.
Assistance provided in the form of food, cash. The goal of this assistance is expected for people’s economy to be function the way it should in the midst of economic decline due to COVID-19.
The assistance is expected by the government to put a halt to the flow of Eid Mubarak homecoming in the middle of the Corona pandemic. President Joko Widodo issued a notice that all State officers, soldiers, Police, state-owned corporation
employees and state-owned subsidiaries would go home. While the public is still appeal and evaluated for certainty whether or not it is possible.
The President continues to encourage the public not to go home in the middle of the Corona pandemic. The goal is to break the chain of transmission of viruses with no-known cure. With the assistance, it is hoped that the community will be able to survive during the Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) that have been established. Following are a series of government programs during the Corona co-19 pandemic Virus.
1.Basic Food Card Program for 20 million recipients. Previously, this program was for 15.2 million existing recipients with a magnitude of Rp150 thousand per month from January to February. At present, there are 4.8 million additional recipients with an amount of Rp 200 thousand per month from March to December. With this addition, the total budget prepared is IDR 43.6 trillion from IDR 28.08 trillion.
2.Family Hope Program (PKH) for 10 Million Beneficiary Families (KPM). The previous distribution of PKH per 3 months will be conducted per month starting in April. For April-June, KPM will receive PKH 2 times. The duration of this distribution will last for 1 year, with an increase in the budget from the previous Rp. 29.13 trillion to Rp. 37.4 trillion.
3.The government provides discount rates for 450 VA customers and 900 VA subsidies. From the data, 450 VA household power is as much as 24 million customers, and electricity fees will be exempted. Whereas for 900 VA household subsidies of 7 Million customers will be given a 50% reduction in electricity costs. The period for this relief is for April-June 2020.
4.Pre-Work Card Program for 5.6 million participants with a total budget of Rp 20 trillion. From this program, each participant will receive training costs, monthly incentives and surveys with a total rock of Rp 3.55 million. At present, the government is also collecting data on workers affected by COVID-19, both those who have been laid off, laid off with unpaid leave, or who have decreased income, which will then be prioritized as recipients of Pre-Work cards.
5.Safety program implemented by the National Police. This assistance is in the form of social assistance and training aimed at taxi drivers, bus drivers, trucks to kernet. The target is 197 thousand people with assistance of Rp. 600,000 per month for three months with a total budget of Rp. 360 billion.
6.People’s Business Credit Stimulus (KUR) whose purpose is to ease the burden of MSMEs. The policy scheme is to relax the KUR distribution policy, through a delay of installments and interest exemptions for 6 months.
7.Special social assistance for 2.6 million people or 1.2 million households (KK) of DKI Jakarta residents and 1.6 million people or 576 thousand families of Bodetabek residents in the form of nine-basic-necessities of Rp 600,000 per month for three months.
8.The Bansos village fund program is intended for 10 million families with a magnitude of Rp 600,000 per family for three months, with a budget of Rp 21 trillion.
9.The acceleration of cash-intensive programs that are expected to be able to print employment. With a budget of Rp 16.9 trillion spread across the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of PUPR printing 530 workers, the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration. For example, in the Ministry of Village the target is expected to print 59 thousand workers. And until now the government continues to work hard so that the allocation of other funds can be budgeted so that the Indonesian people can comply with what has been determined by the government in order to cut the spread of the corona virus covid-19.
