Palembang, TheIndonesiaPost – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru responded quickly to the massive distribution of COVID-19. Not only provided the ODP Center since the end of March but recently he has also provided the Swarna Dwipa Hotel as an alternative place to receive medical personnel.
The statement was welcomed after a virtual plenary meeting at the South Sumatra Command Center on Monday (4/20) morning.
Based on the results of the agreement and see the development of the current distribution of COVID, he considered the need to facilitate medical personnel who are at the forefront in handling the COVID outbreak in South Sumatra. This effort was also carried out to prevent controversial matters in the field which impacted the medical staff.
“So in one of the blocks in the Jakabaring Athlete’s House, we provide space equivalent to a hotel. Even if we don’t prepare it, a hotel of pride for the people of South Sumatra, we will assign Swarna Dwipa Hotel as a place for medical workers to work,” he said
Not only medical workers in the city of Palembang but the facility said HD is also used by medical personnel from surrounding areas, including districts in South Sumatra.
“We will facilitate them, we are ready to pick them up,” added the Governor.
With this policy, HD hopes that medical personnel, specialist doctors, doctors, nurses, and other officers can carry out their duties calmly and in focus.
“To all medical personnel in South Sumatra, work well, rest assured that our government will not remain silent giving attention and facilitating you. Happy working, we hope we are always in the protection of Allah SWT,” he said.
So far, HD continued, the services that have been prepared at the Palembang ODP Center or the COVID-19 Healthy House in South Sumatra have been going very well. This can be seen from the screening process, placement until the isolation is done on-site.
Previously, South Sumatra Deputy Governor who is also the Chairperson of the ODP Center or Healthy House at the Jakabaring Sport City (JSC) Athletes’ House in Palembang, Mawardi Yahya said that they had also provided space for medical personnel for a long time.
According to him, Medical Personnel is the frontline in the implementation of Covid-19. Although not infrequently these medical personnel are supported directly by Covid-19 patients.
“We have prepared it. It is appropriate that we pay attention to these medical personnel because they are indeed in the front guard. We are here discussing at Menara 3 Wisma Athlet,” Mawardi said when accessing the Jakabaring Health House, some time ago.
