Indonesia-Bangladesh have the potential to enlarge the industry and producers

“I underlined the importance of strengthening bilateral dialogue and consultation in the future covering various fields,” said the Bappenas Minister.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abdul Momen’s visit to Indonesia in 2022 is considered to have demonstrated the commitment of the two countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Starting from the economy and trade, energy, agriculture, fisheries and education, as well as advancing existing bilateral forums.

During the last five years, the value of trade between the two countries is said to have increased. In 2017, the value of trade between the two countries was US$1.9 billion and will increase in 2022 to US$4 billion.

Indonesia and Bangladesh also brought in more than US$300 billion in business deals during last year’s Trade Expo Indonesia, considering that the country located in the South Asian region is one of Indonesia’s potential main trading partners.
