Pyongyang- TheIndonesiaPost – A number of satellite images showing the existence of Kim Jong-un’s special train circulated amid the issue of the death of the North Korean leader due to severe illness.
The train was reportedly located in Wonsan Tourism City, North Korea. The sighting of this train was reported based on satellite imagery obtained by the North 38 site as reported by Reuters on Saturday (4/25). The train was caught by a satellite parked at Kim’s special station in Wonsan since April 21.
The 250-meter train remains visible even though part of it is covered by the station roof. In previous satellite imagery on April 15, the train was not at the station.
The train was specifically designed for North Korean leaders. It was used when he visited China in 2018 and Vietnam in 2019. This train was previously used by Kim’s father, Kim Jong-il, who was afraid to get on a plane for an overseas visit.
“The existence of this train does not necessarily indicate that Kim is in Wonsan. But the train reinforces reports that Kim lives in an elite area on the country’s east coast, “38 North was quoted as saying on CNNIndonesia.com.
Various sources to 38 North also claimed to see Kim walking in the Wonsan region in his recovery.
The Wonsan tourist complex has nine large luxury villas and a recreation center. There are several facilities that were built on the orders of Kim when he began to lead last 2014. Among these are the defense building, shooting range, basketball court, and ship deck which allegedly keeps his luxury yachts.
Near the train station, there should be a runway for small aircraft. But Kim turned it into a horse track to accommodate his riding hobby. (ras/bbs)
