Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – Jakarta Education Agency Head Nahdiana in a teleconference meeting with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria on Monday (11/5) discussed the plan. Video of the meeting was uploaded on the official Youtube account of the Jakarta Provincial Government.
In the video, Nahdiana explained, the first scheme was that only a portion of the school was opened with all students studying at school. Then, the second scheme, only part of the school was opened with some students studying at school.
The third scheme is that only part of the school is opened with some students studying at home, with it giving some observations and readiness.
To support the three schemes, she will also ensure the readiness of schools, teachers, and the school environment after the enactment of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).
Each school must also be prepared with adequate sanitation facilities. Starting from the personal protective equipment and health protocols that must be available when students return to school. It also includes room sterilization and learning room management.
“Is it already safe, both internal and surrounding environment is it still in the red zone and others,” she said.
In addition, Nahdiana explained that she had designed a transition period of learning in school for two months. He said, in the first and second weeks of the transition period, teaching and learning activities in schools were only carried out one day alternately.
Next is the second cycle, namely two weeks of study at school, two weeks of study at home carried out alternately.
“Then we plan to start alternating the third cycle once a week,” he said.
Regarding the three schemes, Anies considered that although interesting, seeing the reality was difficult to apply it symmetrically in Jakarta. Therefore, according to him, the application can be varied.
“Because some schools are indeed not ready and somewhat risky. We hope that some of the schools will enter, some will certainly last longer (implementing a learning system from home),” said the former Minister of Education and Culture. (ojan/bbs)
