Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru acted as the Advisor for the 2023 National Education Day Commemoration with the Theme Moving Together Enlivening Freedom of Learning.
On this occasion, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) read the Speech of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim.
HD conveyed that together we have made a new history with the Merdeka Belajar movement. This massive transformation should be celebrated with gratitude and splendor, because everything is the result of our hard work and cooperation.
“This year’s National Education Day is the right time for us to reflect back on every challenge we have faced, as well as every bold step we have taken. By reflecting on the things we have done over the last three years, we can plan our journey towards future in order to ensure the continuity and sustainability of Merdeka Learning” said HD.
At the end of the event, in front of journalists, Governor HD said that the Hardiknas Ceremony was held solely to enliven the spirit of Hardiknas, both from Merdeka Belajar and others.
“This ceremony was attended by all relevant stakeholders. We know that the education system in Indonesia is very dynamic, for that we cannot be left behind. Thank God, this year our HDI was recorded in a high category,” said HD.
On that occasion HD pinned the Satya Badge Honors 10, 20 and 30 years of Service, also at that moment HD also gave awards and coaching money to 9 outstanding students and 2 teachers and gave bicycles to SLB students playing pantomime from the school coach Negeri Palembang and gave several bicycles to students.
