Jakarta, The IndonesianPost – There was an additional 16,297 health workers undergoing vaccinations, bringing the total to 1,244,215 health human resources (HRK) who received the COVID-19 vaccine, according to data from the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 received in Jakarta, Monday.
Of the 1,244,215 people who received the first dose of the vaccine, the COVID-19 Task Force recorded 764,905 people of whom had undergone second vaccinations or an increase of 28,195 people from Sunday (21/2) yesterday.
The government itself is targeting 1,468,764 health workers to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and the plan is that a total of 181,554,465 Indonesians will be vaccinated for herd immunity or group immunity.
The COVID-19 vaccination is divided into several stages with the first batch being carried out for health workers, while the second batch that has already started will be carried out for public service workers and the elderly.
To support the second phase of vaccination, the Ministry of Health released registration links for the elderly in 34 provinces last week. It is planned that the vaccination of the elderly and public service workers will begin in the capital city of each province.
Meanwhile, the process of administering vaccines in ministries and state institutions has begun with the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN) / Bappenas holding a vaccination process which will be carried out today until February 26, 2021.
According to the Minister of National Development Planning / Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, vaccinations will be carried out for 2,566 employees.
It is hoped that this process can provide protection for employees who often interact with various parties for the preparation of the 2022 Government Work Plan (RKP). With the support of the Ministry of Health, vaccinations for the employees of the Ministry of National Development Planning / Bappenas today have been carried out for 500 people. (icn/bbs)
