Minister of Social Affairs directly attended the registration of the ‘Anak Dalam’ Tribe in Jambi Province

Batanghari, The Indonesia Post – The Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Tri Rismaharini attended directly the registration of the Anak Dalam Tribe (SAD) at the Head Office of Jelutih Village, Batin XXIV, Batanghari Regency, Jambi.

On this occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs saw the recording of the electronic national identity (e-KTP) of a SAD resident named Batinggang. Not only that, there was a brief dialogue between the Minister of Social Affairs and the jungle people.

Meanwhile, Rudi Syaf, Director of KKI Warsi, an institution that provides assistance to communities living in and around the forest, said that in the first stage of this recording, it was targeted that 414 people live in jungle (Orang Rimba) families with nearly 2000 people would receive family cards and identity cards.

He added, for the Limbur Tembesi Village Office for 66 Orang Rimba KK and in Batin Delapan District, as well as 81 KK in the Pelepat Sub-district Office, Bungo Regency.

“We appreciate the government’s move to record the Orang Rimba in the state administration system, this is very important for the Orang Rimba,” said Rudi.
