Surakarta, The Indonesia Post – Mayor of Surakarta Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the groundbreaking of the expansion of the Darul Karomah Islamic Boarding School which is located at Mertokusuman RT 02, RW 07, Gandekan, Jebres, Thursday (11/3/2021).
Gibran also congratulated on the expansion of the Darul Karomah Islamic Boarding School. He hopes that the construction of this Islamic boarding school can revive religious education for the younger generation and in parallel can improve the economy of the people of Gandekan.
“Congratulations on the construction of this Islamic boarding school expansion. We certainly hope that with this educational institution, it can further enliven and broaden religious knowledge for the younger generation. Hopefully with the expansion of the boarding school, which we know comes from the donated land of one of the residents, it can bring benefits to others. In the future it will be able to lift the economy around the boarding school, ”said the Mayor, who graduated from the Management Development Institute of Singapore.
Furthermore, Gibran also invited the residents of Solo to build and make a city that is safe, comfortable, conducive to positive activities.
Gibran also conveyed the invitation to maintain the culture of national life and the wisdom values contained in the life of the Indonesian people to face the current of globalization.
After the inauguration ceremony took place, Gibran also greeted the residents of Gandekan accompanied by the ranks of the Surakarta City Government. As usual, the presence of the mayor who is also the chairman of the National Youth Organization Advisory Council was warmly welcomed by the local community.
