3,866 Bali Airport community officers have received booster vaccinations

Badung, The Indonesia Post – A total of 3,866 community officers at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali have undergone a booster COVID-19 vaccination which has been held in the airport’s international terminal area.

“Currently, 3,866 people have received the third dose of injection, we continue to strive to ensure that all officers operating at Bali Airport have received vaccinations, so it is possible that there will be a follow-up booster vaccination session,” said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I International Airport. I Gusti Ngurah Rai Herry AY Sikado in Badung Regency, Sunday.

He said the provision of booster vaccines was considered important because the transmission of various variants of the COVID-19 virus was currently still sweeping the world so that serious action was needed to handle it.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has not ended and transmission is still happening. In addition to complying with health protocols, every activity also needs to increase body resistance, such as through the provision of booster vaccines for the entire scope of the Bali Airport Community,” he said.

In addition to improving the health and endurance of airport community officers against COVID-19, according to Herry Sikado, the booster vaccination is also an effort made by PT Angkasa Pura I at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in creating a sense of security and health for airport service users.

“We hope that this will increase the trust of air transportation service users to the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport Community in anticipating the transmission of COVID-19,” he said.

In practice, the booster COVID-19 vaccination will take place for two days on 20-21 January 2022 using the AstraZeneca vaccine.

In addition to PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, a number of other airport communities involved include the Regional IV Airport Authority, Perum LPPNPI, Customs, Denpasar Class 1 Port Health Office, Immigration, Quarantine, Basarnas, airlines and Ground Handling. .

“This is a contribution to the synergy between airport communities initiated by the regulator, the Airport Authority Region IV, as well as a medical technical regulator implementing vaccinations by the Denpasar Class I Port Health Office.
