Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The Director General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal Z.A. said that as many as four cities rose to level 4 in the extension of the implementation of implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) in Java and Bali.
Safrizal in his electronic message in Jakarta, Tuesday, said that the Minister of Home Affairs had extended the PPKM period for the Java and Bali regions through the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 12 of 2022.
“Which will take effect from 22 to 28 February 2022. This is one of the anticipatory steps to deal with COVID-19 in the midst of the outbreak of the Omicron variant in Indonesia, as well as part of the gradual transition to a COVID-19 endemic while still applying the precautionary principle , said Safrizal.
In the arrangement, he said, there are 4 cities in the Java-Bali region that are set to be Level 4, namely Cirebon City, Magelang City, Tegal City, and Madiun City.
“Based on the results of the evaluation of the indicators for adjusting public health efforts and social restrictions in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic set by the Minister of Health,” said Safrizal Z.A.
According to him, there has been a change at the regional level, namely that there are no regions in Java and Bali that are at Level 1 in Inmendagri 12/202. Previously, there were still 4 regions in the Ministry of Home Affairs 10/2022.
The decrease in the number of regions also occurred at Level 2, which currently has 25 regions from the previous 58 regions. A fairly high increase actually occurred at Level 3, where previously there were 66 regions.
“However, at Inmendagri 12/2022, there are 99 regions. Likewise for areas at Level 4, which currently have 4 regions which previously did not exist in Inmendagri 10/2022,” he said.
Safrizal, who also serves as Wakasatgasnas COVID-19, explained about regional regulation with Level 4 at Inmendagri 12/2022, including activities in the non-essential sector that can operate at 25 percent WFO (work from office) for employees who have been vaccinated.
Export-oriented industries can operate 75 percent of staff for each shift in production facilities/factories, and 25 percent of office administration services by implementing strict health protocols.
Non-quarantine hotels can operate by screening using the PeduliLindung application with a capacity of 50 percent, and 25 percent for the use of ballrooms/fitness facilities/meeting rooms.
Restaurants/restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, hypermarkets, traditional markets, grocery stores, supermarkets that sell daily necessities, to activities in shopping centers can operate until 21.00 with a maximum visitor capacity of 50 percent.
Especially for supermarkets, hypermarkets, and shopping centers need to be screened using the PeduliLindung application, and only visitors with the green category can be allowed to enter.
Restaurants/restaurants and cafes with operating hours from 18.00—000.00 can operate with a maximum capacity of 25 percent. People’s markets that sell non-daily necessities are still allowed to operate but only until 20:00.
Children’s playgrounds and entertainment venues can operate with a maximum capacity of 35 percent, except for cinemas with a maximum of 25 percent of capacity. The fitness center/gym can operate at a maximum of 25 percent of capacity.
Public facilities and places for arts, culture, sports, and social activities can operate a maximum of 25 percent, while for the operation of places of worship can carry out activities a maximum of 50 percent.
Wedding receptions can be held with a maximum of 25 percent of the room’s capacity and do not hold meals on the spot by implementing stricter health protocols.
Children under 12 years old can do activities in public areas accompanied by their parents. Especially for children aged 6-12 years, they are required to show proof of the first dose of vaccination.
“Against the trend of increasing regional level, it is necessary to respond with intensive 3T efforts, while at the same time directing people with mild or moderate symptoms to self-isolate or centrally isolate,” he said.
This effort, according to him, is to ensure that the downstream sector of the hospital does not experience pressure and exponential increase. This can be realized if the village/kelurahan post is actively engaged in the micro sector.
“Observing the current conditions, local governments must continue to accelerate the second dose of vaccination and intensify booster vaccines in parallel with ongoing education efforts in enforcing health protocol discipline for all elements of society,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
