Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Domestic travelers using land, sea or air transportation now do not need to show evidence of a negative antigen or PCR test to travel by land, sea or air.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment and Deputy Chair of the Committee for Handling the Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan in an online press conference regarding the results of the Social Restrictions (PPKM) average in Jakarta, Monday, said the policy applies to those who have been fully vaccinated.
“Domestic travelers using sea or land air transportation who have carried out the second and complete dose of vaccination, no longer need to show evidence of negative antigen or PCR tests,” he said.
Luhut, who is also the Coordinator of PPKM for Java and Bali, said that this was decided by the government in the context of transitioning to normal activities. The detailed policy will be set out in a circular letter to be issued by the relevant ministry/institution which will be published in the near future.
In addition, Luhut also said that all sports competition activities can accept spectators on condition that they have carried out booster vaccinations and use PeduliLindung.
The allowed audience capacity will be adjusted to the regional PPKM level where level 4 capacity is only 25 percent; level 3 50 percent capacity; level 2 75 percent capacity; and level 1 100 percent capacity.
Luhut ensured that the policies taken by the government were implemented on the basis of input from experts in their fields.
He also ensures that all roadmaps that have been made to date are still implemented with the principle of prudence and continue to uphold the principle of gradual, gradual and continuous.
“All the roadmaps made to date are still implemented with the precautionary principle and still uphold the stages that we often convey, namely, gradual, gradual and continuing to mitigate things that we don’t want,” he said.
Luhut also asked for community involvement and qualified government education so that later coexistence with Covid-19 would not be just a slogan.
“We need to emphasize that all policies in the transition process that we will go through together are not carried out in a hurry. We must be ready to move towards a gradual transition process by implementing existing data-based policies,” he said.
The government ensures that the current condition and handling of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to improve. Based on the data, the trend of national daily cases decreased very significantly, as well as the condition of hospitalization which also showed a decline. Likewise, the death rate is getting sloping. (mhn/bbs)
