Accompanied by His Two Daughters, HD Distributes Rice Aid

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Accompanied by his two daughters, Hj. Samantha Tivany HD and Ratu Tenny Leriva HD, Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru distributed relief rice for residents affected by Covid 19 in Lorong Batu Karang, Bukit Kecil District, Saturday (9/10) afternoon.

This rice assistance was given by the Governor to around 400 families in the area through the General Chairperson of the Palembang Darussalam Charity Humanitarian Forum (Fakem).

Not only paying attention to its citizens who were affected by the Covid pandemic, on that occasion Herman Deru also continued to remind his citizens not to neglect to carry out health protocols.

“Indeed, now Covid continues to sway in South Sumatra. But don’t let this catch us off guard. Stay disciplined to wear masks, keep your distance and especially don’t forget to take care of your immune system, HD reminded residents.

Meanwhile, one of the recipients of the rice aid, Faisal, 65, said that he was very happy and touched because it was included in the data of rice recipients.

“I don’t see the numbers. But Mr. Herman Deru’s attention was extraordinary. When his citizens are in trouble due to Covid, he still remembers and cares. That’s what makes us feel happy,” said the man who previously had a small trade.

In addition to being attended by residents, on this occasion the General Chairperson of Fakem Darussalam H. Sarimuda, Assistant I for Welfare of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Dr. H. Rosyidin Hasan and a number of OPD Heads in the South Sumatra Provincial Government. (rmt/ril)
