The “booster” vaccine is proposed as a condition for entering public spaces

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Member of DKI Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo proposed that the third dose of vaccination (booster) be a requirement to enter public spaces so as to accelerate the realization of the follow-up vaccination in Jakarta.

“If the third vaccine is a mandatory requirement for going home, we ask the DKI Provincial Government to accelerate the booster vaccination,” said Deputy Chairman of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PSI faction Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo in Jakarta, Thursday.

According to Anggara, this step was taken considering the achievement of booster vaccination in Jakarta is relatively low, which is around two million.

“Not up to 50 percent. Now this is confusing. Even though access to vaccines in Jakarta is easier than in other areas,” said Anggara.

Anggara also asked the DKI Provincial Government to massively socialize the issue of booster vaccination and “pick up the ball”.

“Relax, we will support the DKI Provincial Government. This is a humanitarian matter. The Provincial Government has succeeded in accelerating it, we are also happy,” said Anggara.

Anggara emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government carried out various innovations to encourage booster vaccination.

He said the acceleration would reduce the problems of residents who want to celebrate Eid in their hometowns.

Based on data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as of last Wednesday, the first dose of vaccination in Jakarta reached 12.4 million or 123.5 percent of the target of 10 million.

Then, the second dose of vaccination reached 10.5 million or already 104.4 percent.

While the realization of the third dose of vaccination reached 2 million people. (mhn/bbs)
