Regarding the Vaccine Card Rules for Entering the Mall, Governor Herman Deru said this

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The application of the rules for entering malls with a vaccine card is unlikely to be applied in South Sumatra.

The reason is, the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, expressed his disagreement with the regulations that have begun to be applied in some regions in Indonesia.

“If you enter the mall, you don’t have to use a vaccine card,” said the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru, when he was discussed by the media crew, Wednesday (25/8).

Deru said that the government may require activities in public locations with a vaccine card. Provided that the number of vaccines is adequate. “At least 50 percent of the people in an area have been vaccinated. Only then can we apply the vaccine card requirements for various activities,” he said.

He explained that currently the public’s interest in carrying out vaccinations is very high. It is evident from the mass vaccination activities that are visited by many people. “From the beginning I really asked for the acceleration of this vaccination. Because the public’s interest is very high,” he explained.

The Regent of East OKU for these two periods explained that the policy of using the vaccine card was only suitable for several activities. “Like a flight. That is indeed the domain of the central government. Not local government. But for malls, maybe not yet,” he concluded. (mhn/ril)
