Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The chairman of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), RA Anita Noeringhati, hopes that the Pancasila Student Organization (Mapancas) can increase its role in South Sumatra.
“The presence of Pancasila Students (Mapancas in South Sumatra) is further enhanced because now the role of students is very much needed in developing South Sumatra, both as controls, partners and checks and balances,” she said.
In addition, she hopes that the program carried out by Mapancas as a student can be more targeted to the community.
“Therefore, I ask Mapancas to be more concerned about the environment, social issues, such as harassment at one university, don’t let it happen at another university,” she hoped.
“I also welcome the Mapancas management who will be sworn in in early February,” she said.
Separately, the Chairman of the South Sumatra Mapancas DPD, Andir Firliansyah said the management meeting with the South Sumatra DPRD chairman was related to the plan for the inauguration of the South Sumatra Mapancas DPD 2022-2024.
“The plan was originally carried out in early December, but due to several reasons, it was postponed to early February 2022,” he said.
In addition, he also conveyed several activities that will be carried out by Mapancas after the inauguration later.
“We also convey what programs can be done for the sustainability of South Sumatra’s activities. Of course, with the inauguration, all activities at Mapancas will be active again both in the region and in the district itself,” he concluded. (ojn/ril)
