Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Head of the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Archaeological Office, Wahyu Rizky Andhifani, S.S, M.M, met with the Chair of the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, in the office of the Chairperson of the South Sumatra DPRD, Tuesday (19/4).
According to Wahyu Rizky Andhifani, S.S, M.M, his arrival to the South Sumatra DPRD followed up on the recess of members of the South Sumatra DPRD (Sumsel) Electoral District (Dapil) 1 Palembang at the South Sumatra Archaeological Office (Sumsel), last Monday (22/3).
“We want to know what the follow-up was like, yesterday it was vague,” he said.
In addition, according to Wahyu, he wants to carry out research on the Sriwijaya Kedatuan or Palembang Darussalam Sultanate.
“We are offering this to the government through the DPRD which we can research, not only archeology, there is language, there is the environment, so we can gang up together with cultural friends who will be involved there,” he said.
The chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj RA Anita Noeringhati, explained that during a recess visit to Balar, South Sumatra, her party received a lot of aspirations from researchers and archaeologists, historians, humanists, history teachers, environmental activities and others.
“We see that archeology is a vertical institution but its existence has not been heard of, not many people know that here is the Archaeological Office, whereas in fact there are many cultural heritages in South Sumatra, we want the Archeology office, which will soon become the center of Brin, to be useful for South Sumatra, especially regarding cultures. “This cultural heritage in South Sumatra needs to be preserved,” she said.
In addition, during the recess there was a proposal for the establishment of a Faculty of Culture in South Sumatra, which until now he has not received a letter of recommendation from the historian of South Sumatra, Dedi Irwanto.
“Later I will call Unsri all, to become the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, but I have not received the letter until now, there are only two proposals on my desk, so let it be gentlemen, there is Fisip, there is Medicine for cardiovascular specialists (SPJP), we hope Unsri can open That’s why it’s all like that, you know,” she said.
In addition , according to her, there are many aspirations that we report in the recess .
“Archeology is a kind of thing that exists but few people understand, we discussed a lot yesterday about the research budget from Brint,” she said.
In addition, the aspirations during the recess in Balar, South Sumatra, according to the Golkar Party politician, have been reported in a plenary meeting some time ago.
“And we agreed that we want to help archaeologists, for sure Brint’s position has more benefits than before,” she said.
For research budget assistance, Anita suggested that it be submitted to the South Sumatra Governor and could be through the South Sumatra Culture and Tourism Office, but a copy could be sent to the South Sumatra DPRD. (ojn/bbs)
