Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairman of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, R.A. Anita Noeringhati, together with the Deputy Chairman of Commission V, Mgs. H. Syaiful Padli, and Secretary of Commission V, H. David Hadrianto Aljufri, received an audience from the Palembang Kita For All Online Ojek Coalition, regarding the impact of the increase in fuel prices on online motorcycle taxis, taking place in the Banmus DPRD meeting room in South Sumatra. Monday, 19/9/22.
During the meeting, they discussed many things about the increase in fuel prices (especially for Pertalite) which of course had a huge impact on online motorcycle taxi drivers, either directly or indirectly.
Just to note, the direct impact is that online motorcycle taxi drivers have to bear the burden of operational costs (BBM) with an increase of 30 percent. As for the indirect impact, the increase in fuel prices may also have an impact on rising prices for basic necessities, as well as the cost of motorcycle maintenance and maintenance for online motorcycle taxi drivers.
On the one hand, if an order is not taken because the cost of buying Pertalite fuel is very heavy. However, if the order is not taken, there will be sanctions from the applicator company.
Online motorcycle taxi drivers still need to provide for their families, so inevitably online motorcycle taxi drivers continue to take orders even though the tariff and operational costs are not comparable, in this case a loss for online motorcycle taxi drivers.
Therefore, Igun hopes that the government as a regulator can immediately adjust the ojol tariffs throughout Indonesia so that they are equivalent to the increase in Pertalite type fuel prices. (ojn/ril)
