PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Province should be proud. In order to tackle the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19), the Provincial Government encourages Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) and the Sriwijaya Polytechnic (Polteksri) Palembang to produce “Face Shield” which is a face protector for health workers.
This was revealed by the Governor of South Sumatra Herman Deru, represented by the Regional Secretary of the South Sumatra Province, Nasrun Umar, in his report to the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Tito Karnavian, regarding the Provincial Government’s efforts to deal with the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the area. “Regional efforts to deal with the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19), South Sumatra Province, in this case two state universities namely Sriwijaya University and Sriwijaya State Polytechnic, have produced” Face Shield “for face protection for health workers. Of course this is very helpful for medical staff in dealing with patients exposed to the Corona virus (Covid-19), “Nasrun Umar said.
In addition to reporting that South Sumatra produces “Face Shield” as a face protector, which is intended for medical personnel who handle Covid-19 patients in South Sumatra, Nasrun Umar also conveyed the request of the Provincial Government to receive support for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from the Central Government.
Despite proposing that a Personal Protective Equipment to be sent, Nasrun ensured control of the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) in South Sumatra. “We encourage the Central Government to send data on local companies in South Sumatra.
