JAKARTA, The Indonesia Post – The global crisis caused by the Corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) has an impact on every country, including Indonesia. The Minister of the home affairs, Tito Karnavian, routinely monitors the progress of the response to the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) in the country.
The Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, held a video conference to the Regional Governments in Indonesia regarding the handling of the Covid-19 crisis related to the availability of health and food infrastructure facilities for each region in Indonesia.
“The world is being hit by a global crisis due to Covid-19. The widest crisis due to Covid is due to its transmission between individuals very quickly. Various efforts to stem the spread of transmission, namely by keeping a distance, avoiding crowds, and social activities. In addition, the use of masks, as well as efforts to increase immunity, “said Tito.
He also appealed to the Provincial Government, Regency Government and City Government in Indonesia to support the strengthening of everything related to health, food, and social security networks affected by Covid-19. Anticipating that, the Minister from Palembang has formed two teams, namely a team that is trying to carry out an inventory of territorial needs, especially those related to medical devices, family protection, and efforts to increase immunity for the community. Then, the second team, the team is tasked with prioritizing public health and maintaining the economy or economic endurance in every region in Indonesia.
“Every government apparatus in the Central and Regional Regions in Indonesia must undertake national food mobilization and distribution measures. The mobility and coordination can be carried out with cooperation between the center and the regions. Thus food readiness and safety for the community can be available, “said Tito.
Likewise regarding facilities and infrastructure, Tito appealed to all regions to take a role in maintaining their respective regions to provide adequate health infrastructure facilities by utilizing local wisdom to increase productivity in fulfilling the deterrent of Covid-19.
“The central government and local governments need to ‘fight’ the Corona virus (Covid-19) together by unifying steps and strategies.
