Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The government has set the number of state civil servant formation (ASN) in 2021 to be 1.3 million people, which applies if there are no other emergency policies.
“The government has determined the total needs for ASN in 2021. If there are no other policies that are emergency in nature, (the need) will be around 1.3 million people,” said Minister for Administrative Reform of the State Civil Service and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Tjahjo Kumolo in his statement at Jakarta. Tjahjo said the ASN requirement formation consisted of 1,000,000 government employee teachers with a work agreement (PPPK), around 189,000 for local governments, and approximately 83,000 for central government agencies.
The teacher formation, he continued, was carried out through a scheme established by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), namely PPPK in all regions.
“The program is to solve the shortage of teachers who have been filled by honorary staff,” he said.
To be able to take part in the One Million Teacher PPPK Program, teaching staff must have been registered in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) at the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Furthermore, the need for ASN in the regional government as many as 189,000 formations is outside of the One Million PPPK Teacher Program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The ASN formation for the regional government consists of 70,000 PPPK non teaching (nonguru) functional positions and 119,000 CPNS technical employees.
For the purposes of central government agencies, Tjahjo said there were 83,000 formations with 50 percent for PPPK and 50 percent for CPNS according to the needs of each agency.
The requirements needed for the admission, he said, would be determined by each agency in accordance with the qualifications for the position vacancies.
“Regarding the timing of the announcement, it will be done in March after the distribution for each agency is complete,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
