Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Nadiem Anwar Makarim announced the provision of internet data quota assistance for 2021 to assist distance education (PJJ) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The government continues the policy of internet data quota assistance for three months from March 2021 with maximum flexibility of use,” said Nadiem at the announcement of the 2021 internet data quota assistance that was monitored in Jakarta. (1/3/2021).
He explained that there was a difference in the amount of the quota given. This is based on input from teachers, students and parents. PAUD students get 7GB per month, elementary and secondary education students (SD, SMP and SMA and equivalent) will get 10 GB / month, PAUD educators and primary and secondary education levels will get 12 GB per month, and students and lecturers will get 15 GB per month.
Nadiem explained that the overall quota assistance in 2021 is a general quota that can be used to access all pages and applications except those blocked by the Ministry of Communication and Information.
“This means that the 2021 internet data quota assistance can be used for all sources of information on the internet that are relevant for learning. So you can access Youtube and so on, “said Nadiem.
Assistance is distributed on the 11th to 15th of every month and is valid for 30 days from the date the data quota is received.
Students, and educators who will receive the quota assistance are all those who receive quota assistance from November to December 2020 and whose numbers are active will automatically receive quota assistance in March 2021. Except for those whose total usage is less than 1 GB.
School principals do not need to upload a Statement of Absolute Responsibility (SPTJM) anymore for those who have received assistance in November and December 2020.
Students who receive are registered in the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) and the Higher Education Database (PPDikti). (rma/bbs)
