Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of the F-16 Fighter Jet at the Sri Mulyono Herlambang Palembang Air Base. The arrival of this aircraft aims to carry out the Air Force II Koopsud I “Jalak Sakti” training in 2023, which will be combined with the Air Force II Kopasgat “Trisula Perkasa” training in 2023. The presence of the F-16 fighter aircraft will strengthen the role of Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base as a homebase for various types of military aircraft.
Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base is an important and strategic air base. Apart from the F-16 fighter jets, the air base also hosts several other types of aircraft, such as the Hawk 100-200, Super Puma Helicopters, Hercules and Jupiter Aerobatic Team. The existence of these planes makes this air base one of the vital bases in maintaining the security and territorial sovereignty of the Province of South Sumatra.
During her visit, the Chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra Province, Mrs. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH., expressed her pride for the Air Force II training which will be held at the Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base. She welcomed the collaboration between Koopsud I “Jalak Sakti” and Kopasgat “Trisula Perkasa” in carrying out the exercise. Mrs. Anita hopes that this exercise will further improve the quality and professionalism of military personnel and strengthen air defense in the South Sumatra region.

Air Force II Koopsud I “Jalak Sakti” TA 2023 Combined with Air Force II Kopasgat “Trisula Perkasa” TA 2023 training is expected to hone the abilities and skills of military personnel in dealing with various challenges in the air. In addition, this exercise will also improve synergy and coordination between the two military units.
With the use of the Sri Mulyono Herlambang Air Base as a home base for combat aircraft and helicopters, it is hoped that the South Sumatra region will be better prepared to face potential threats and maintain security stability in the region. The success of this exercise will provide higher self-confidence for military personnel and the people of South Sumatra Province.
